Summary:

"I may have gotten an upgrade, and I might be lookin' to try it out tonight." His giddiness shone prominently through his speech, and combined with the vague wording, definitely sparked Lucy's curiosity.
Tilting their head, "Do you mind if I ask what this upgrade is?"
"That's a surprise," He smirked deviously, eyes narrowing. Lucy looked away, a bashful smile forming and a squeak threatening to leave their voicebox. How could they say no to that? An excited shiver worked its way through their system and they turned back around, optics flicked up to meet his.
"I'm game."
Bender gets an upgrade and he and Lucy start foolin' around. Selfship.

“Lucy was noticing a pattern with Bender.
A slight twitch when they hugged, a jump whenever they touched him unexpectedly, a breath hitch that one time they were helping him get his shoes on; Bender was ticklish. Now, this wouldn’t be too weird on its own - they were too, after all. That was just something that came with the territory of having an artificial nervous system as sophisticated as theirs, even if organics oft found their ability to experience it strange and unnecessary. But, they began to notice that, shortly after these occurrences, Bender would excuse himself and fuck off to the bathroom for the next few minutes. At first they chalked it up to Bender-typical weirdness - they’d been together for a while now, and they had gotten used to him being kinda quirky sometimes - he was just like that, and it wasn’t like they had much room to judge in that regard anyways. But it kept happening.”
Bender starts exhibiting some strange behaviour and Lucy decides to investigate. Selfship.
